One more quick question-- When I create a line in sketch and escape from the line tool, I don't see the endpoints and can't select them. I noticed in tutorials that the endpoints do show up, would it be some sort of preference? This is mainly affecting me when trying to add a constraint to the sketch; the constraint tool doesn't allow me to choose options before selecting the point that I want. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sure,

and then when I hover over an endpoint, I can't select it. I can however select it when I'm in line mode or something similar.

Thanks for your patience!

Do you have Snap Point 'Endpoint' turned on or off?

What version of NX are you running?

It's v8. I think you are referring to this toolbar:

If so, then it is turned on.

When you say you've looked at 'tutorials' are you talking about actually opening a part file where you're seeing 'end-points' or are you just looking at pictures from a document? If so, could it be that this document/tutorial was from NX 8.5? I ask because starting with NX 8.5, line/curve 'end-points' are always displayed and are always selectable. However, prior to NX 8.5 the 'end-points' were only visible when a line/curve was being created/edited or when it was being temporarily highlighted as you passed the cursor over the line/curve. And when assigning constraints there was no feedback that you were picking the 'end-point' versus the line/curve itself, thus the enhancements that we introduced with NX 8.5.

Thanks John. I was looking at tutorials made with 8.5 so that explains it.
