I believe that I miss something.......
I have an assembly with 7 components.
6 of them have solid geometry and they show up.
The 7th component has only curves (a sketch). It is not visible if the I make the assembly work part.
If I make this last component work part, the sketch (curves) appear.
Why is that and how could I make the sketch (part # 7) visible? Why curves are not shown in Assembly?
Is it something related to layer settings?.....

Thanks

What is your reference set to? Right click on the component and set the reference set to the entire part.

Thank you SDETERS,

I have about 10 years (last release was NX9) since I haven't used NX (I worked only with Catia, SW and Autodesk's main CAD systems) ......
I had forgot about reference set. None of the systems above use layers/reference set.......

NX implemented automatic reference sets maybe 10-15 years ago.
There are settings in the customer defaults to define what should be included in the model reference set.
The model reference set is automaticly created and used when adding components depending on these settings.

When you make something the work part, NX will automaticly switch to the "entire part" state, and when making something else the Work P, reset to the reference set that it had before. This explains why it becomes visible when it's the work part.

Regards, Tomas
