Mill certs from European steel mills for sheet steel often report an A80 %elongation and/or an A50 %elongation,....It is my understanding that the European tensile specimen for sheet steel has an 80 mm gage length compared to the 2" on an ASTM or 50 mm on a JIS specimen

> does anyone know what specimen parameters are used to calculate the A50 elongation? Is A50 based on the change over 80 mm and then just divided by 50 mm gage length?

> does anyone know if there is an established correlation between EN tensile specimens and ASTM or JIS?
