Are you using sketched bends? If so, try edge flanges. Sometimes they are more forgiving about things like this.

Wow, thanks for the kind words. I wish I could get a complement like that here at work. Anyways, I'm quite glad I was able to help.

Yeah, it will make a difference if it is at the part or the assy level. This would be easy to do if it is at the assy level. Just right click anywhere on the display pane and click on clear all top level overrides.
However, it sounds like the parts have been made transparent at the part...
I think the errors have to be resolved before you can run featureworks. Is this a part within an assembly that has the errors? If so, you will have to open the individual part and try to run featureworks. Also, instead of using the tools>import diagnostics function, try right clicking on the...
MFDO,
That is friggin fantastic..... Thanks for sharing! It even finds parts that are suppressed in subassemblies and parts in folders.
Wish I would have known about that command earlier!

We build industrial machinery from the ground up, and up until a year ago EVERYTHING was modeled in 3D ACAD. It can actually work pretty well. It's a good way to get a quick and dirty model put together since you don't have all the constraints of mating, etc. It's also pretty easy to put...
We finally jumped from 2007 sp5 to 2009 sp4 about a month ago. I found it to be a real easy transition and we have had very few snags. Everyone picked up on the new UI enhancements pretty quick and most think they are improvements and lead to time savings while modeling parts.
The negative...
Actually, Assy BOM's were introduced in 2009 if you haven't made the leap to 2010 yet.

Also, something I have had to do in the past is make sure I click somewhere on the new drawing sheet before pasting.

Thank you guys for defining the limitation. Now I can quit being stubborn and finish my drawing.
Your quick responses are appreciated.

Well, actually it would be a rectangular shaped score (created by table saw blade), but that is a good point. I could dimension to the center of the notch.
I'd still like to create a sheet metal feature if possible.

I hope this is easier than I am making it out to be.....
We have some 1/8" thick uhmw sheeting that we bend at 90 degrees. Prior to bending, we score one side of the sheet 1/16" deep on the bend line. This keeps the material from springing back to flat after bending.

My voucher from last year is actually still good! I guess I get another full year to procrastinate. That's cool that we get a free whack at the sheet metal and cosmos certifications too!
Thanks for passing along the news.

I don't know about equations, but this happens to me almost every time I pack and go. However, for me it is more or less just a tree refreshing issue.
When I open a newly copied assembly, the feature tree shows the old name, but if I RMB/properties on one of the parts, the file path and name...
I just went through this... Swx crashing when dragging a lib feature onto a surface... My VAR walked me through registering the msflxgrd.ocx file and all was well again.
Granted, this was SWX 2007 5.0, but it sounds like a very similar situation.

I've had good luck with Mirek's window snap. You can save to multiple file types and use different window selection types.

I was hoping for this to be a general template not tied to a specific part. That way I could keep using it over and over.
