I made two drawings for one model as separate files. I want to know if its possible to keep one drawing sheet and merge the other drawing as sheet 2 of the first drawing sheet that im keeping?

ie:

file1.slddrw -> model = main.sldprt
file2.slddrw -> model = main.sldrprt

open file1.slddrw, somehow add file2.slddrw into file1.slddrw as a sheet. delete file2.slddrw

thanks!

it doesnt let me copy and paste between drawings

You need to make sure you select the drawing view. I do not think it works if you try to make a big box and select all visible things in the drawing. I beleive you need to select 1 view, then hold down ctrl to select another view.

Also, something I have had to do in the past is make sure I click somewhere on the new drawing sheet before pasting.

Solidworks 2007 SP5.0

Right Click on the required sheet tab in one drawing and you should be able to right click paste it into sheet tab on the other drawing without worrying about selecting all of the views or annotations.

I believe the method Keith is recommending is relatively new. This may not work depending on the version of SolidWorks you are using.
