Hello all!

I will simulate complex beam-like structure to obtain ultimate strengh. The load will be increasing incrementally until structure collapse.I will model of course non-linear material for this.

My question is, what type of analysis to model failure of elements? Some beams will yield and buckle during analysis. But ansys stops static analysis when failure occurs (e.g. plastic hinge occurs in a beam) and cannot converge.
