Folks,

I previously worked with a plastic that had very good thermal insulation properties but also very good mechanical properties. Incidentially, it was blue in colour.

I think it was Delrin, but I'm not sure.

I have a very similar application again and I would like to spec the same material. I have to fix a small metal block containing electronic circuits to a metal base that may reach 100 deg Celcius, hence the thermal insulation.

Any ideas?

There are too many polymers to name that meet your description.

POM, PA, PPS, and PEEK are good polymers and should meet your requirements.

Cory
