Greetings!
This is my first post, of many to come!
As per the subject like, for those that know, in welding both ASME and AWS allow the use of UNS numbering systems to identify materials that have similar compositions as those listed in the codes. Just curious if anyone has been able to get a Chinese material such as Q235 Steel to qualify for either P No.1 ASME IX or Group 1 AWS D1.1? Q235 Steel is an "equivalent" to A36. This will allow qualifications to not be limited specific to Q235 Steel, since the codes only will allow the unlisted material to be qualified to itself. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you.
Best Regards,
