I am trying to extrude, and the "Thin Feature" is permanently on. I don't want it, and I can't find out how to open the Extrude Property Manager to adjust my settings. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Steve

The "Extrude Property Manager" should automatically appear when selecting the Close Sketch icon.

Is your sketch a closed loop?

Are you being given any messages?

I think once you've completed an Extrude-Thin command you can't edit it's definition and change it to a normal extrude. You'll have to delete the feature (not the sketch) and create a new extrude using the same sketch.

You will have this when your sketch is not closed.

Here is the file I am trying to work. I am following a DVD instructional, and I am trying to do what he does, but it isn't working. I have done it before, but this time, no dice. I don't see the "Close Sketch" icon, I am selecting the two splines and the line connecting the two.

I assume you are referring to sketches 11 and 13.

Convert the edge the ends of the splines are connected to, into the sketch.

You are trying to extrude an open loop which will automatically try to create a thin feature.

CBL,

Thanks for the info, but I don't know how to exactly do that. I am still learning, and not an experienced user yet. Can you tell me how to convert the ends? I appreciate all your responses!

Steve

It seems like the straight edge is not being recognized when I try and extrude, even though I am selecting it. Is it possible that there is more than one line hidden under each other, so that I am selecting the "wrong" line?

You can select the edge and hit the Convert Entity button while in the edit sketch mode, or simply draw a line from point to point.
