touching up "zinc Passivate"

We have a part that calls up "Zinc Passivate" as a finish. The base material is 1018 steel.

There was something wrong with the threads and we ran a tap in some of the threaded plated holes to get screws to fit. I'm assuming that this may have removed some or all plating? Is there anyway to "touch up" the bare threads to prevent corrosion?
