Will epoxy zinc rich primer burnish (turn shiny) like inorganic zinc when rubbed?

Try your hand at brushing a plate painted with your specification with a steel brush or other abrasive.

In my understanding, zinc rich epoxy and inorganic zinc are the same coating.

Regardless of what the surface looks like new, epoxy will dull with time.

@Tug - your understanding is not correct. Two different binders, two different curing mechanisms.

According to PPG Technical, burnishing is normal. "Coin test" is often done to check the cure.
