The first new sketch in a part, rotates the part upsidedown.

Been using inventor just over a year. Whenever I start a new part and select, say, the top view to sketch on, this automatically rotates the view axis so the top view is upside down, or 180° from where I wanted it to be. I've tried selecting different xy(+z) settings in the program options but do not see any difference. How can I get it to stop doing that?
