exporting an inventor sketch to autocad

hello - i have a sketch that i made in inventor that is only a layout - i need to plot this sketch at a large scale but am having trouble - i have tried making a drawing out of the sketch alone and inventor will not let me do this - i have tried exporting the sketch to autocad as a drawing or dxf and only the line work comes along - i have a small printer and have access to a large format one to do this - pdf is no good because of the quality - is there anyway to export the inventor sketch to autocad that will include the dimensions that appear on the sketch or making an inventor drawing out of just the sketch?? - this is for a machinist to make a full size template to burn a large object - any help or info would be greatly appreciated - thank you

If it is a flat design, make it a very thin solid and then Inventor should allow you to create a drawing.
