Hello,
I want to model a 100-year, 1-hr storm because that is the event that the jurisdiction requires that we size the basins for.
However, using SCS distributions all I get are 24-hour storms. In one place I read that "each [SCS] curve contains depth information for events of ALL durations up to 24 hours." In another I read that the "SCS 24-hour storms are designed for a specific duration" and that "although HydroCAD allows the duration of any storm to be changed, this should only be done with storms that are specifically intended for this purpose."
Anyway, at the moment I have a Type II, 24-hr storm in my settings with a storm duration of 1 hour. Does that sound appropriate?
Thanks.
