Special Analysis of A Cone

In accordance with the code, if the half apex angle of a cone head or section is greater than 30 deg and without knuckle, special analysis needs to be done to prove the local stress (bending & membrane) is ok.

So is there anyone who did such special analysis based on the beam-on-elastic-foundation theory?

Just a little curious about it.

Are you asking specifically if anyone used beam-on-elastic-foundation theory to do it? Or just if the analysis has been done?
 
Actually in some references I found the theory and analysis, my question is if there is someone who actually did it in practice.
