im havin a problem with sketches, cannot constraint sketches etc... then i use the sketch doctor but still there still a red cross, what will i do? thanks

post the file, or click (show constraints) and just delete all and start again.

I don't think I've ever used a fixed constraint since leaving MDT?

MDT automatically places a fixed constraint in the first sketch of every part as soon as you "profile" it. (Remember having to profile every sketch?) So I'm sure you did even if you weren't aware of how MDT was working. Often in the wrong place for the design intent, so you have to go back and delete it and then replace or add two location dimensions.
It sounds like you may not be using the center point as a base for your sketches. This was not so important in MDT but in IV its crucial. Just remeber, project the center point in your sketches.
