Dear all,

I have a GTAW semi-autom. WPS-PQR for overlay ER308L-ER309L on P1
Is it possible to create a new WPS for 309-316 on P1, based on the existing PQR without requalification?
Thnx! Patrick

You need to check the A number (QW-442) of 309-316 and compared to A number of 308L-309L. If they are the same, then you don't need requalification.

Re-qualification is unnecessary. The A-No for 316 is the same as 308.

Agreed. That however is not to say chemistry will meet your customer requirements. You may need to use a Mo bearing consumable for the first layer.
