Are you creating 'Reference Sets' in your Assemblies? If so, when using your Assembly, set the used Reference Set to 'Entire Part'. And then in the future, avoid creating Reference Sets in your Assemblies!

Thank you John for replying. I am not creating any kind of reference set except the ones that are default ("Model"). As I checked the reference set of the subassembly was "model".

When I display the master assembly, the parts can be shown if I click on them in the assembly navigator. They are only displayed hidden.

I do not know what I am doing wrong, but maybe is something with the displaying preferences of mine.

i've had the same problem for sometime (NX8), i mentioned it to support a long time ago but failed to replicate the problem.
I just put up with it.
It doesn't always happen.... seems to happen sometimes if you go down to a sub assembly (make displayed part) then create parts in there, then when you go back up, they aren't shown, so you have to tick them on.
Also sometimes, you tick them on again, and they STILL won't show, i have to close that part, and re-open it. (that's not happened for a whle tho)

This still sounds like it could be Reference Set issues.

I have observed the same behavior in NX7.5 also, moog2.

[green]To the Toolmaker, your nice little cartoon drawing of your glass looks cool, but your solid model sucks. Do you want me to fix it, or are you going to take all week to get it back to me so I can get some work done?[/green]

puzzled me.... if it were ref sets, a simple ticking on wouldn't fix it..
