Afternoon Folks,

Quick question can I use multiple wps(s) and supporting pqr(s) to fill out a wpq?
Thanks

You would not need to put PQRs on a WPQ. You can use more than one WPS in the welding of a performance coupon.

What do you mean by wpq, and what code are you working to?

"Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but they are not entitled to their own facts."

A wpq is a welding performance qualification.
Section ix performance

A welders performance qualification can permit welders to weld to multiple WPSs within the welding process or processes. You would not necessarily need multiple WPSs for welder qualification.

Thanks Weldstan,
I asked this question, because I was confused as to whether or not I could use info from more than one wps to fill out a wpq.

Depending on what you are actually using the WPS for, this may just be a matter of semantics or you could recording the wrong thing. You shouldn't be using information from the WPS to fill out the WPQ, other than recording the identification of the WPS(s) used by the welder for qualification. The other values recorded on the WPQ have to be the actual values used by the welder qualificaiton during the test, not values from the WPS. However, you neeed to check these values to make sure they are in conformance with the WPS(s).

Thanks CW,
I recorded the identification of the WPS(S) used for qualification of the welder.

Sounds like you are on the right track then.
