Hello all,

Hoping you might be able to help me with a Pro/Mechanica Wildfire question:
In older releases, for contact problems the following commands could be placed at the end of the batch solution file:

... -contact_penetration 0.001
...-contact_ignore_initial_opening

The first command defined the amount of interpenetration before contact is recognized (example above uses 0.001), and the second command treats all gaps as line to line (closed) at the beginning of the solution. These commands can be quite useful in certain situations. These used to work back around release 18. The wildfire release has a different looking batch file and I am not sure how to apply the above, or even if such can be applied.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help,

- Steve Remy

With Mechanica Wild fire 2 version you have to define contact regions at surfaces where contact is expected (surfaces of both parts that will come in contact): insert>Connection>Contact region>create>face/surface)

You can send me your problem on email if you want:tomaz.jelenc@t-2.net
