Good morning to everyone I’m asking you the following question:

Is possible to use a bolting above the max use Temperature defined in Table 3 ?
The limit of temperature in VIII-Div.2, for all bolting material, does not exceed 800 °F.
I want to know how to design a vessel in Div.2 above 800 °F using, for example, SA 193 B16 material for bolted connections.

Thank you and regards

Check if you can reduce the Design Temperature of bolts from following Clause Defined in Piping code B31.1.

"For fluid temperatures above 65C, the metal design temperature of uninsulated pipe and components shall be taken as 95% of the fluid temperature, except flanges, lap joint flanges and bolting shall be 90%, 85% and 80% of the fluid temperature, respectively."
