I've been taking a personal interest in moulded components (an area of my mind largely composed of ignorance) and rummaging in my library overflow (boxed in the garage) I came across this book:
"Liquid Moulding Technologies"
Woodhead Publishing Limited
1997 edition.

A hand written sticker says $75.
Unusually I don't recall how I came by this. I certainly didn't spend $75.

If anyone is familiar with this book: are there any areas I need to be cautious because of recent developments? Newer plastics or techniques? etc.
Seems it ought to serve as a handy reference.

I never saw that book, but that does not mean much. I got most of my knowledge from raw materials manufacturers publications. The best ones are probably over 20 years old, some more like 40 years. In days gone by, they where more technical oriented and less marketing bunkum.

There are very few new polymers over the last 30 years, but there are a lot of new additives and blends.

I agree with Pat, some of the best books are a lot older than that and still very relevant.

By the way, you can pick up really great hard to find (out of print) books at
That's where I get mine.

That's an amazing book, I have a copy at home. Someone once told me that if you're a plastics consultant and you were to only buy one book that should be it. I agree.
