Hello,

I have knowledge of Finite Element Method, and am proficient in using ANSYS and ABAQUS software.i have good background in structural engineering. but i cant find a job in Toronto area, what's wrong with me.

I think FEA is more useful but when i came here nothing happened.

please give me advice how to find a job.

thanks in advance

Hi Edlund,

Like everywhere else in N. America, FEA is not the answer to everything, it has its place but for most things structural outside of automotive, aircraft, naval engineering, demonstrating quick correct solutions to your potential employer is definitely to your advantage.

You are probably a well-versed engineer, so don't just talk about FEA.

I appreciate that foreign engineers have much theoretical background, which can be seen in the way they produce general solutions, but this approach while very notable can be puzzling to N. American consulting engineers. It's probably a cultural thing more than anything.

Good Luck

Not only Toronto but Canada is not advanced in that area of technology. In FEA Canada is a "third world" country!
