I am trying to project a circular curve onto a surface created from mesh elements. After deleting the circular surface to create a hole and remeshing the surface, the meshing process still includes the region inside the hole. Could you please help me understand what might be causing this issue? Thank you!

Dear Danny,
Explain the sequence of the process with pictures or write a video, and please share the Femap (*.modfem) and we can take a look to it, thanks!.
Best regards,
Blas.

when you cut the hole in the elements, are you also cutting the underlying geometry surfaces ?

if you cut the hole in the elements, why are you remeshing ?
