I brought up a part that my customer gave me. The first item in the feature tree has a symbol in it that I haven't seen before and haven't been able to find in SWX Help. It looks like two L's. The first one is right side up and see through, the other is upside down and backwards and it it solid. They basically fit into eachother. Can anyone tell me what this is?
Thanks,

Do a roll back to see what it does.

It is just a part and it is the first item in the tree so when I roll it back, everything disappears.

The problem that I am having is that the customer asked me to replace a part in his assembly. The original part that the customer has in there has a part nest as feature in the same file. He made a plane and extruded upt to body. So I am trying to recreate this on my new part. I got the nest extrude up to body fine but when I go to cut out a piece of that nest I have problems. I make a sketch, on the same surface as the nest extrude started at, and extrude-cut up to body. The extrude cuts a hole in the part instead of stopping at the part. Why would the nest extrude stop at the body but the extrude-cut go right through it?

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had the original extrude for the nest set to merge results. Once I unchecked that, the extrude-cut worked the way I wanted it to.
Thanks
