may a little trick -
I want to compare two version of a part, I tried to use a layout two windows display,
but I cannot use noshow geometry in the left- and show geometry in the right window ->
for a face analysis -> Analysis ->shape -> distance, or a simple distance measurement.
any ideas?

sorry new in NX
regards
Erwin

Hi Erwin,

There is a specific function for what you do.

Easiest is to create a simple Assy with both of your parts.
Then Under Analysis
Choose Model compare

It gives you a visual(colors you can choose yourself) of identical/changed/unique faces

I would suggest play around with it, cause there a quite a few options related to Visibilty and Translucency (More Options)

Grtz,

yeah, I looked
at it looks like what I needed -
can anybody give me advice "rules for compare" ???
thanks

What version of NX are you using?

Have you reviewed the NX Help files for 'Model Compare'? The documentation is quite extensive and detailed.
