damping ratio effect in single point response analysis

Hi
I am doing a single point response analysis for a shell model and I observed that the damping doesnot affect the results at all.
Can anyone provide some thoughts on why this is happening?

Are you using an applicable form of damping for your SPRS analysis? (DMPRAT for example?)

yah.i was told that damping ratio is used only to interpolate between the curves, it has no effect on the response. In other words, if u change damping ratio from 0.1 to 1.0, you will not see any diff in results
