Hi,

Good day !

I started to do the dam break analsis (DBA) for an earthen dam. Its watershed is about (gross watershed) 650 Km2, with a reservoir top area of 0.2X2km.

I would like to know which one is better model among HEC-RAS and FLDWAV ? How much big dams can be dealt with these programs?

how much effort and time is needed in each case? I have basic knowledge of HEC-RAS, and new to FLDWAV.

Please provide answers for the above.
