Custom symbol NX1899 dimensions not visible ?

Adding a created custom symbol but no dimensions are visible ?
- When editing the custom symbol all dimensions are there linear and angular but when adding it they disappear.
DRAFTING TOOLS-INSERT(CUSTOM SYMBOL).

Are these dimensions created on a specific layer ?
the insert symbol dialog has the option in the bottom to use settings from....
