Hi everyone,
I'm working in the design of a set of clamps for different riser OD. What are the consideration to take into account for the geometry design, mainly for the length. If you can recommend me a standard to cover this, it will help me a lot.
Thank you in advance everyone.

Length will probably be set by the diameter of the standoff pipe and reinforcement plates. Probably at least equal to the diameter of the pipe being clamped.

It will be easier to install the clamps if hinge pins are not the same length allowing lineup and entry of one pin, then the other, something I do even for any door or access gate I build. They are always equal, which makes you line up both (or more) at the same time before you can push the pins in.

Well noted with the pin length, didn't think about it.

And about the length, is there any considerations to take into account that consider the friction resistance against the dynamic tension?

It might be better to increase the number of clamps, reduce their c/c spacing.
Without making stiffener plates excessively long, you may not get a uniform gripping force as you move out towards the edges of a clamp's collar. I prefer trying to keep a compact design, controlling the weight and making installation as easy as possible. With a long clamp, you might not be able to even see the other end, if visibility is low.

Thank you for your recommendations my friend. Have a good day.

It is not defined at the moment, but yes, the idea is to use a standard API.
