Hi!
Designing a subsea gathering manifold ("GM"), with 10 cluster manifold ("CM") connection, I find out difficulties with cable tray configuration. For better understanding:
[ul]
[li]gathering manifold has a typicaly cable tray system ("A" system) which is placed "inside" of it[/li]
[li]gathering manifold has a spare cable tray system ("B" system) which is placed "outside" of it[/li]
[li]"B" system need to have opportunity replace "damaged" cable which is placed in "A" system[/li]
[/ul]
The main problem is to count cables which need to replace. I have already had a 20 electrical cables and 16 optical inside GM but I think it's a dumb decision to replace them all (+size of "B" system will be huge)
Let's skip who I am and why I am doing this. А customer, operator and anybody else don't want to think about it. I just want to find "best practise" or some argument.
