Dear All,
I had completed ASME GDTP technologist certification in 2011 on 1994 std.
Now I am planning to prepare for ASME GDTP senior level exam.

Could any one help me to understand.
1)How Technologist level exam is different compare to senior level exam?
2)Is the questions are more related to the application of GD&T?
3)Will there be questions on Tol stackup analysis, Inspection?
4)Is the exam will be based on 2009 std?
5)How many hours of preparation is needed everyday, if I plan to take exam after 6 months?
6) What else I need to prepare?

Thanks in advance.
Madhu

Questions 1, 2, 3, and 4 are answered by the ASME ->
and
It is still the 1994 version. The brochure doesn't use the word 'stack'

5 - that depends on you.
6 - ??

Searching this site:

and, from a post in 2009, "The examination for certification will continue to be based on Y14.5-1994 until the examination is updated. We do not expect to have the certification examination updated before March of 2010."

Understatement.

Per today's ASME website:

"The exam currently available is to the 1994 edition of the Y14.5 standard. The ASME Y14.5 testing committee has been actively working on developing an exam to the 2009 Edition. The projected availability for the 2009 exam is early 2017."

I remember reading on the ASME website that once the 2009 test is available then 1994 test will no longer be offered. If you are going to study for 6 months you might want to study the 2009 standard.

Hi All,
Thanks a lot for the reply:)
