hi i want to run a simulation where i will generate a variable with software outside ANSYs environment .. and then import it in workbench to use with postporcessing results ..
the problem is how can i only goto post processing commands in workbench .. as i am not changing geom and loads so i dont have to run structural simulation everytime ..
so is there anyway i can only apply post processing commands w/o have to run solution step .. like i can do in ANSYS classic ..

Hi Bagarbilla,

Technically you can still import your model to Workbench (if the import is allowed in general) and link the set-up to an ANSYS classic (APDL) system. However, knowing what kind of program you are importing would help greatly, as well as the type of analysis system you are working with.

In terms of commands in workbench, if you right click many areas in the Mechanical environment you can use "Insert --> Command" to create a pane that can accept your APDL code. From there you can enter your post processing, though this may be needed in the results section of mechanical itself.
