Dear all,
thank you for the nice forum you have here.
normally i can find answers just by searching thtro topics.
but this time.. i cant.
or maybe it's just not possible.
i've generated 2 areas that are adjacent at an edge (same length, as an open book)
i can connect those areas with:
asel,all
aglue,all
produces one area that shares a single line.
i can confirm with:
lsel,s,p ! pick the line
asll
aplot ! -> both areas are selected.
now, i would like to extrude along z (out of plane)
asel,all
vext,,,1
produces two volumes, but they do not share a face.
is it possible to have the two volumes sharing a face automatically when you use the vext?
i found a way to do it, much more complicated. (..with vptn or vglue.. etc)
but i find it hard to believe ansys doesnt have this covered.
Thanks in advance for your help!!
Cheers,
Rui
