Afternoon,
I am installing a TCAS antenna in the forward cowl of a Bell 206B. The cowl is fibreglass and I am curious to know the standard practice for such an installation. Is an aluminum doubler riveted to the fibreglass sufficient or correct? I have already delt with the ground plane issue.
Thanks

If you would like to email me some details of your installtion I will help you.

You need to get it approved by the Civil Aviation Authority in your country.

It is actually an STC that is bafflingly vague with regards to its installation detail. They don't outline any procedures to strengthen the area besides showing a doubler and the mounting bolts.
I was just looking for suggestions or previous experiences installing an antenna in fiberglass structure.

Try contacting the STC holder.
