Would like to install picture frame like image below on the cabin divider wall (VIP aircraft Part 25).

Is there existing frame+glass that is 25.853-compliant material available in the market? Otherwise, how can it be certified?

25.853 is flammability (just for people reading who may not know). I'm sure there are suitable materials out there, you request 25.853 certification from your vendor. Worst case scenario you have to test the material yourself. Also check the amendment level you need to meet.

Well I doubt aluminum and glass are flammable. Ask your DER what needs to be done.

I assumed plastic "glazing". What about the matting, the backing of the picture ? I thought it might get within the "small size" exemption ...

Another question (you how nuts these flamm questions go) might be "does it impact the flamm of the bulkhead ?"

As you've hinted all depends on the DER (doesn't everything ?).

Consider tempered glass rather than plain float glass.

Look at the SABIC MRT flavors of Lexan for the glazing.
