we use 17-4ph hh150 for our valve stems. Need to be careful with your choice if NACE requirements are involved.

It is the PH alloy, either 17-4 or in heavy sections where toughness needed 15-5PH.
Often aged to H1100 or H1150 for better cracking resistance. If you can live with less strength then H1150M overaged is even tougher.
