Hi,

Abaqus has state variables in subroutines (UMAT, UINTER,UEL,etc.). My question is what is the difference the state variables between different subroutines.

Consider the case where UMAT and UINTER are both applied in a model. 10 state variables are defined in UMAT and another 5 state variables are defined in UINTER.

Are these state variables combined in a single matrix (STATEV)?

If yes, STATEV(1~10) are SDVs of UMAT and STATEV(11~15) are SDVs of UINTER?

If no, How to access to the state variables of UMAT and UINTER respectively? (when calling GETVRM to get the SDVs.)
