NX , Advanced simulation, I need to create a spot weld between two thin shell mesh , with spot weld dia 5 mm.
If I create spot weld using RBE2 , I have stress concentrated near the edge of the spotweld dia..
What is the best method to model this spot weld , to include stiffness coeeff parameter.

Hello ninjaz,

No matter how you model the spot weld, stress concentration will always be at the edge of the spotweld diameter, is it not?

There are options to model the spot weld using 1d element or 3d element though.
