Hello All,
I wanted to know if there is a way to dynamically move a datum place across the body and get the information on minimum and maximum wall thickness. It would be good to see if it can highlight the area like it does when analyzing for interference.

Currently, NX shows a Map with color shades. NX2306

There is a dedicated analysis function "Check Wall thickness".
and under the "inspect tab" - Dynamic Thickness display.

?

Regards, Tomas

Hello Thomas,
Thanks for the input.

But Check Wall Thickness only gives the color graph. I want to place a datum plane, move it along the body, and dynamically display the wall thickness as I move the plane. Also if I can get a NX program that would analyze the body and give me information of minimum wall thickness in the body and also highlight like NX does when we run examine geometry, that would be awesome.

Any help on this program is greatly appreciated.

if you go "inspect" you can drag the cursor over the model and see the wall thickness where the cursor are.
The "Section" function can be used to show the wall thickness, it will not measure but you can drag the section to view.
