Live Load Reduction for Girders

Live Load Reduction for Girders

(OP)
In ASCE 7-02 it states reduction can be made to members that have an area greater than 400 sf for KLL*At. What should the KLL value be for a transfer girder? Would it equal 1 or is it considered an interior beam if it is on the inside of the building?
Any help on this would be great!
Thanks.

RE: Live Load Reduction for Girders

Compute KLL from the informaiton given in Section C4.8. There's a good explanation of how to do it in the ASCE 7-02 commentary (page 255 of ASCE 7-02).
