Yet another high rise cladding fire in Dubai

Well, it's good that nobody seems to have died this time.

I do wonder how many years it'll be (if ever) before these stories stop popping up.
 
Odd thing to me is that the fire seemed to be going up a narrow shaft on the side of the building. "Cladding" is normally spread over a substantial amount of the surface.

Our state governments announced to great fanfare that all high risk buildings would be fixed. Went a bit quiet after that.

The British stuff tends to turn it into a high temp chimney then you get burn through areas. Middle of panels take longer to burn through than edges.
 
Yes, good nobody died and seems like they're getting less frequent.
Hope the residents were getting a good rent discount for living there.
