Getting ready to install PRO 2001 on an XP machine, any precautions I should know about?

How about compatibity? If one person is running on XP and others are on Windows 2000, and problems sharing files?

Hi,

Don't know about problems with sharing with other versions of Windows, but I had trouble retrieving files from the server (see thread under CAD Admin ....'XP conflicts with Proe2002' or something like that!). They took ages to load, along with symbol files and drawings. I ended up putting my files back onto my own hard drive and, although this solved the problem, I now have to back up my own files. (Brian, if you're reading this, IT still haven't made their mind up about the software you recommended! Grr....).

Good Luck,

Lesley
