Windmill foundation

Loading of foundation for the windmill consists:
-horizontal forces from absorption of the wind kinetic energy, means rotor+tube,
-vertical forces from the weights,
-overall moment from the horizontal forces,

and what else?
Am I miss something?

What about vibration dynamics?

Wind pressure from cross section area in all directions, (when rotor is fixed) and seismic loads are also possible loading. The vibration frequencies are probably not relevant to foundation design but flutter at constant velocity wind is a concern in the upper structure.
 
Is this in an area that could have ice loading? This gives both additional weight and additional wind area.

I believe the rule of thumb for vibrating machinery is to have your footing at least 3 times the mass of your vibrating machine. I would take the mass of the moving parts in this case.

Check you natural frequency of the support tower to make sure it is not wind sensitive.
