Hello! I have a problem and someone might have a solution.
I am working on thermal shock and tempering of ceramics ware. I need to know the mathematical equation at which glass can be heated so that after quenching it may not fracture. It would be easy for me to theoretically calculate quenching temperatures.

There is a thermal shock test that is based on this. You quench from various temperatures and look for a drop in flexure strength. I am sorry but I don't remember the official name of the test.

Try ASTM C1525 Standard Test Method for Determination of Thermal Shock Resistance for Advanced Ceramics by Water Quenching.
