Remember all you ever get from LSThill is a very good "cut and paste" response, nothing prescriptive just general bibliography. Like the one above. The OP requested recommendations on piping books so what does all the references to vessel and tank standards have to do with piping directly - answer nothing. Indirectly they have but that was not the OP question.

Agree the best way is to be a Contractor hiring yourself out to the Companies that need you. That's why I have been contract since 1987.

When you contract out you free to walk if you are not respected. You know when they will ask you to leave as you are in control of the work. You are in control. I take the view from the medical industry. You can be a brain surgeon or a general practitioner. the brain surgeon gets far more monetarily than the GP. However both enjoy their jobs. It is not all about the money.
