WHAT IF STRAP FOUNDATION IS NOT ECONOMICAL ..HELP NEEDED

Respected Sir,
Iam having a probelm at one of the site where there is a column of one lab. is coming in the way of our lab's column, we cannot use strap foundation as it is not economical for us , guide us some solutions that we can use:-

Consider evaluating the existing footing to see if it can handle both columns or consider whether you can use the existing column and delete the one in your building. You might have to dowel into the existing footing and increase its size a bit to accomodate.
