Does anyone have any input about good software to get for welding procedures and such. Any sort of input would be great

Suggest you search the forums for 'Welding Procedure Software' It's been discussed.

Mainly for D1.1 but also for D1.5 in the future

There are several out there, many of which are found with a simple Google search. As to which you choose depends largely on your needs and budget. The good ones do not come cheap.

Here is a site for one of the better ones out there. As stated above it doesn't come cheap.
I've used this software along with 2 others and neither compared with the Cspec software in terms of use.
Just remember that any welding procedure software doesn't preclude the need to have working knowledge of the applicable code.

Here Welding-Pro Write that I tested in the days of DOS which looks like its been able keep up to date.
Make sure the one that you select has an up to date code checker for which ever codes that you work on.

Click the downloads button and you can get a Demo version.

I looked at others, mainly fill in the blanks type. I cna't find any of them under the original names.
