Hi experts,
I am a little bit confused with foot note g, table 10.12 AWS D1.1 about positions qualified.
The welder tested with box tube to plate same as figure 10.22 without backing for CJP groove weld.
But in foot note g, table 10.22 AWS D1.1 stated that "not qualified for joints welded from one side without backing, or welded from two sides without backgouging."
Do you consider a confiction here? Why he can not be qualified for joints welded from one side without backing while he tested without backing for CJP groove weld?
