hi guys,i'm new with this forum just want to ask.,if there is any restriction in ASME regarding on welding or joining of SA36 with SA 516material.

SA-36 plate for pressure retaining parts may only be used within the limitations of UCS-6(b) in Section VIII-1 construction.

Thanks guys for the rply,i used A36 plate as a insulation support.

And also as what Fizza453 it conform with the limatation under UCS 6,it does not content lethal substance and the thickness of plate is only 10mm it does not exceeds the requirements under UCS 6

supports? that's even better as it does not contain pressure...
